OTTAWA COUNTY (WHTC-AM/FM) — Greater Ottawa County United Way officials have hired Jacquelyn Bennett as the new Students Live United (SLU) program coordinator.
She will oversee the SLU program at Ottawa County high schools with the support and tools they need to join in on area volunteer opportunities; Bennett will also teach students how to track student-volunteer hours, build leadership skills, and earn recognition.
The Central Michigan University graduate earned a bachelor of science degree in business administration and marketing.
Her work experience includes property management, marketing, and higher education; including as a Lake Michigan College admissions and early college coordinator. While at LMC, she recruited and guided students through their programs, collaborating with teachers; and gave presentations among other duties.
Bennett lives with her husband on a South Haven blueberry farm.
