HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – It’s time to go back to the classroom for the Holland City Council.
The members will be undergoing a “table top exercise” during tonight’s study session with Ryan Kilpatrick, the executive director of Housing Next, an initiative created by a number of community organizations aimed at improving the affordable housing climate along the Lakeshore. He is expected to guide the panel with a potential housing development in order for them to go through a draft housing policy, with the goal of establishing a framework so that looking at future plans can be handled efficiently and effectively by Council. Addressing affordable housing was considered the most pressing matter during last month’s Council “Advance” annual planning session.
This “exercise” is the only slated item on the agenda for the 5:30 PM study session in the second floor training center of Holland City Hall.
