WEST MICHIGAN (WHTC-AM/FM) — A winter weather advisory is in effect through 1 p.m. Wednesday, according to meteorologists in the Grand Rapids office of the National Weather Service.
Area residents can expect a wintery mix of up to an inch of snow, with sleet and freezing rain, and as much as a tenth of an inch of ice, with 40 mph or greater wind gusts.
This will create hazardous traveling conditions, with intermittent limited visibility to possibly periodic white-out conditions. Drivers are urged to use caution on the roads and plan for longer commute times.
