Tom Terpstra, 55, of Zeeland, passed away on Friday, February 8, 2019.
Tom was born October 1, 1963, the son of Gordon and Thelma (Nyenbrink) Terpstra. Tom was raised in Borculo with his sister Tammy, and went to Zeeland Public Schools. Tom graduated from Zeeland High School in 1981. Tom started working for Prince when he was 15, and worked at Prince and JCI for 40 years. Tom was currently employed at Careerline Tech Center in electrical training. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Tom was an avid sports fan, especially his Wednesday night golf league at Winding Creek. Tom attended Community Reformed Church.
He is survived by his daughter Richelle Terpstra, his sister Tamela (Marvin) Kamps of Zeeland; nephew Johnathan (Erin) Kamps, niece Morgan Kamps, and many extended family and friends.
A funeral service to honor the faith and life of Tom Terpstra will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, February 13, 2019, at Community Reformed Church, 10376 Felch Street, Zeeland 49464. Visitation will be 5:00-8:00 pm, Tuesday, at the Yntema Funeral Home, 251 S. State Street, Zeeland 49464. Interment will be in Zeeland Cemetery. Memorials may be made to The First Tee of West Michigan or the National Park Foundation.
