Jean Buist, 85, passed away on Saturday morning, Jan. 26, 2019, at Country Home Care.
Jean was a member of Park Christian Reformed Church. At the age of 35, she was recovering from a stroke and a serious car accident. Despite her disabilities, she ws very active socially. She loved to paint, make quilts and other crafts with only one hand. She loved Evergreen Commons and her church family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, David Buist (1995) and a twin brother, John Zwagerman (1959).
She is survived by her daughters; Faith and Nick Lukianenko of Grand Junction, MI, Linda and Bill Lockard of Muskegon, MI, Jennifer Buist (Terry Vink) of Holland, MI; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, Travis and Heather Bouwman (Zac, Luke, Ava), Joshua and Jennifer Bouwman (Hailey), Jessica and Chris Plaisier (Bryer), Nicole and Nick Houtman (Zoe, Nick), Andrew Stroundinger; brother, Marvin Zwagerman; sister, Elaine Kloosterman; sister, Joann Zuverink; sister-in-law, Joan Zwagerman; sister-in-law, Barb Buist, and sister-in-law, Rosemary Youngsma.
A Celebration of Life is planned for 11:00 am on Saturday, March 9, 2019 at Langeland Sterenberg Funeral Home, 315 E. 16

Street, Holland, MI 49423 with Rev. Dan Steen officiating.
