OTTAWA COUNTY (WHTC-AM/FM) — Ravenna resident Jami King, 44, went to Spectrum Health Butterworth by ambulance Friday, Dec. 21, 2018, after a truck-tree crash, according to Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sgt. Matt Wildfong.
The crash happened on 32nd Avenue near Harrisburg Avenue in Chester Township.
Investigators determined teh 1999 GMC pickup ran off the left side of the road, traveled for about 100 feet, then hit a ditch and a tree, Wildfong said.
Police arrived on the scene to find King outside of his vehicle, bleeding from the head, Wildfong said. In addition to facial injuries, he told emergency responders he was experiencing chest pains, Wildfong said.
Rockford Ambulance took him to be treated for what was beleived to be non-life-threatening injuries at nearby hospital emergency room, Wildfong said.
Chester Township firefighters assisted Ottawa County Sheriff’s deputies and Rockford Ambulace EMTs at the scene.
