MICHIGAN (WHTC-AM/FM) — The number of traffic deaths over the Thanksgiving holiday is unchanged from last year. A total of 11 people died, according to Michigan State Police officials.
Police say the deaths resulted from 10 deadly crashes. Two incidents involved pedestrians, also the same as last year.
Alcohol was a known factor in two of the wrecks, down from six last year.
The Thanksgiving holiday count happens between Wednesday morning and Sunday night.
Police had extra patrols on the roads statewide
