HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) –From shopping to films to concerts and live-stage productions, tree lighting events and parades, the greater Holland area — and, really, all of West Michigan — offers a wealth of seasonal diversions. Here are a few:
Holland’s Parade of Lights on Eighth Street is set to start at 6:30 Tuesday, Nov. 27. A bonus Kerstmarkt, Holland’s annual Outdoor Holiday Market, is set for Tuesday, Nov. 27, as well: 5 to 8 p.m. at the Civic Center Place.

Olive Township Historical Society’s “Christmas in the Country” Home Tour is set for 6 to 9 p.m. Dec. 7 and 11 a.m.-4 p.m., Saturday Dec. 8, 2018.
Four homes, an 1867 schoolhouse and the museum will be festively decorated for the holiday season. Come and enjoy the country and see how people bought their groceries a couple of generations ago.

A Christmas Story, the musical, at Holland High is set for 7 p.m. showings on Thursday, Nov. 29; Friday, Nov. 30; Saturday, Dec. 1; Thursday, Dec. 6, Friday, Dec. 7; and Saturday, Dec. 8, at Holland High, with 2 p.m. matinees set for Saturday, Dec. 1; Sunday, Dec. 2; Saturday, Dec. 8; and Sunday, Dec. 9.
Tickets are $15 for adults $10 for students 18 and under if purchased in advance — add $5 at the door.

The Holland Chorale Holiday Concert “Winter’s Gifts” is a festive concert set in the beautifully decorated First Reformed Church sanctuary, st for 3 p.m., Dec. 16, 2018, First Reformed, 630 State St. in Holland; $20, adults; $5, students 18 and over; free for students 18 and under.

Holland Modular Railroad Club’s annual model train show, 6-8 p.m. Monday-Thursday though Dec. 15, 2018 and 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturdays at the Howard Miller Library, 14 S Church St. in Zeeland. Club members will collect nonperishable food donations for the Ken DeWilde Memorial and give the food to His Harvest Stand.

Meet Sinterklass at Dekker-Huis Museum from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Dec. 1. The museum is decorated for Christmas.
