HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — Holland City Council is set to meet for a study session at 5:30 p.m. today, Oct. 24, 2018, at City Hall, 270 S. River Ave.
Tonight’s meeting is devoted to training with consultant Dave Medema. City officials hired Medema to conduct training on how boards function, what limitations officials must observe, as well as basic prinicples for governing cities.
The meeting includes time for members of the public to make public comments on any topic.
Medema’s plan relies on a process called the Carver model, which has drawn criticism for breaking down during times of crisis.
This is the first of three sessions. The next two are set for Oct. 31, 2018, and Nov. 28, 2018.
