OTTAWA COUNTY (WHTC-AM/FM) — A 44-year-old Jenison man was taken to Metro Hospital with undisclosed injuries, after a rollover crash in Jamestown Township, according to Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sgt. Matt Wildfong.
It happened just before 1 p.m. Tuesday near the intersection of Quincy Road and 22nd Avenue. He was driving a 2000 Lincoln Town car but not wearing his seatbelt.
“He drove off the right side of the roadway,” Wildfong said. “He hit a hill, and went airborne into a shallow ditch. The vehicle then went across 22nd Avenue, and into a deeper ditch, causing the male to be ejected from the vehicle.”
The driver went by ambulance to Metro Hospital for treatment of his injuries. Wildfong said the man’s name is not being released at this time and that alcohol is a suspected contributing factor in the crash .
