HOLLAND TOWNSHIP (WHTC-AM/FM) — A Holland Township woman suffered head and abdominal injuries after a two vehicle crash early Sunday morning, according to Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sgt. Chris Dill.
The crash happened just after 2 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 21, 2018, at the intersection of 136th Avenue and Riley Street in Holland Township, when a 32-year-old Holland Township man, driving a Dodge Journey, failed to stop at the red flashing light on the northbound lanes of 136th.
A 2008 Lexus, eastbound on Riley with a 51-year-old Holland man at the wheel, struck the Dodge so hard it rolled over, Dill said.
The 32-year-old driver refused treatment for minor injuries at the scene, Dill said. His front-seat passenger is the woman hospitalized, Dill said.
No names are being released at this time. The crash remains under investigation.
AMR Ambulance assisted Sheriff’s deputies at the scene.
