HOLLAND TWP (WHTC-AM/FM) — A three-vehicle crash on Friday, Sept. 28, 2018, sent a Holland woman and child to Holland Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sgt. Matt Wildfong.
The crash happened just before 3:30 p.m. at 120th Avenue and Felch Street, Wildfong said, sending Holland residents Melissa Gonzales, 29, and Makayah Gonzales, 10, to Holland Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The police investigation indicates that Melissa Gonzales was driving south on 120th and didn’t stop at the traffic signal. Her vehicle struck one being driven by Holland resident Melissa Gibson, 32, whose vehicle included a single passenger, Kylee Gibson 7, Wildfong said.
The impact sent Gonzales’ vehicle into one being driven by Fennville resident Mary Wilkinson, 60, Wildfong said.
Wilkinson was not injured, but she was briefly pinned in her vehicle, Wildfong said.
In addition to Ottawa County Sheriff’s road patrol deputies, responders included the Sheriff’s Holland/Park townships’ E-unit, Holland Township Fire Department, and AMR ambulance.
