HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — Two Muskegon residents collided while in the left turn lane on 172nd Avenue just south of Robbins Road in Grand Haven Township, just after noon Friday, Sept. 28, 2018, according to Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sgt. Matt Wildfong.
Muskegon resident Courtney Morefield, 25, suffered non-life-threatening injuries and reported havng head pain at the time of the crash, he said.
Brandon Nickolas, 43, also of Muskegon, was driving a truck and not injured, Wildfong said. Both drivers were using their seatbelts.
The crash happened in the left turn lane of 172nd Avenue, Wildfong said, but the drivers have differeing accounts. Nickolas told police he was in the lane waiting to turn when and Morefield’s car hit his truck; she told police Nickolas cut off her car.
