HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — Nestlings Diaper Bank is waiting on a window repair after someone hurled a rock and shattered part of the double-pane glass, at 650 Riley St. in Holland Township.
Nestlings founder Tania Snyder told WHTC no one was hurt in the incident, and she’s talking to Nestlings’ insurer about repairs.
The non-profit, which supplies desperately needed diapers to low-income families, is on track to distribute at least 100,000 diapers this year, Snyder said. Families cannot buy paper products or personal hygiene items with Bridge card funds.
She said she’s looking for a larger home for Nestlings, and has started a capital campaign to fund the move.
Snyder took to social media after making a police report, to thank Ottawa County Sheriffs deputies for doing a great job.
“Vandalism doesn’t feel good,” Snyder wrote, “but we know the police are doing their job.”
