HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — Hope College, Lighthouse Immigrant Advocates, and Hope Church have partnered for an immigration advocacy panel next week.
“Advocacy: Action vs. Apathy” is the first of a series of presentations on immigration happening over the next few months.
Action versus Apathy explores how families are affected by U.S. immigration laws, policies and practices.
Panelists will also talk about the role of residents in a democracy. An open discussion follows a brief presentation for this session, which starts at 2 p.m. Aug. 9 at the Martha Miller Center for Global Communication’s Fried-Hemenway Auditorium, 257 Columbia Avenue in Holland.
The event is free and open to the public.
