HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — Ottawa County is moving the date of the August emergency siren test.
Typically test the the on the first Friday of every month, so the August test would be this Friday.
But Ottawa County Emergency Management Director Nick Bonstell emailed a statement to media saying that — because of the large crowds in and around Grand Haven for the annual Coast Guard Festival — the test date will be moved by one week.
The next siren test is set for Friday, Aug. 10, 2018.
During the test, sirens throughout the county will sound at noon for one to three minutes.
The next scheduled siren test is set for Friday, Sept. 7.
