HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — A Saturday, July 28, 2018, benefit is planned to help two families with funeral expenses for newlyweds Logan Albaugh, 24, and Hannah Kwekel, 22, of Holland. They were married on Jund 23, 2018, and died in a July 17, 2018, traffic crash in Allegan County.
Friends are trying to raise $10,000 to help the couple’s family with expenses. An online effort so far has raised just over $2,500.
The Saturday fundraiser starts at 11 a.m. and runs through 7 p.m. at Chick-Owa Sportsmans Club in Holland, featuring a 50-50 raffle, door prizes, a bounce house for the kids, a silent auction and a pig roast.
It costs $10 per person, $15 per couple; kids 12 and under are free. Organizers say every penny raised is going to the couple’s family.
