HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — The Holland Area League of Women Voters will host a moderated forum featuring the four Republicans vying to replace 30th District State Senator, Arlan Meekhof, who is term limited.
Republicans Rett DeBoer; Daniela Garcia; Joe Haveman; adn Roger Victory have agreef to participate in the forum, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today, Wednesday July 11, 2018, at Herrick District Library, 300 S. River Ave. in Holland.
They are competing in the Aug. 7 primary election. The primary winner will be on the November ballot, competing with Holland resident Jeanette Schipper, a Democrat, and Grand Haven resident Mary Buzuma, a Libertarian.
The public is encouraged to asked questions or offer questions in written form.
This event is free to the public as part of the League’s efforts to help citizens make informed votes. The LWV hosted a casual meet-and-greet for 89th and 90th District House of Representatives candidates on Monday; listen to WHTC’s related podcast.
