HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – It doesn’t have the “star power” of top-of-the-ticket hopefuls, and no Democratic Party candidates are involved, but tonight’s forum hosted by the Ottawa County Patriots in Holland is expected to be at least informative.
Three persons vying for the GOP Secretary of State nomination that will be determined at the Michigan Republican Party Convention in Lansing on August 25th – Stan Grot, Joseph Guzman and Mary Treder Lang – will express their views during this evening’s 90-minute session at Lighthouse Baptist Church. Also slated to attend are the two GOP hopefuls for the 90th state House seat that Daniela Garcia is vacating – Orlando Estrada and Bradley Slagh – as well as state Senator Patrick Colbeck of Canton, currently running third behind Lieutenant Governor Brian Calley and state Attorney General Bill Schuette in most Republican gubernatorial candidate polls.
Tonight’s forum by the OCP is open to the public and begins at 6:30 PM in the church off of East 24th Street west of US-31. A similar session featuring GOP state attorney general and state senate candidates is slated for July 17th at the Howard Miller Library in Zeeland.
