HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — Phase One of the Hope Avenue renovation is set to start today, Tuesday, May 29, 2018.
The work starts with storm sewer improvements near the intersection of Paw Paw Drive and Cambridge. That means Paw Paw Drive is closed to thru traffic starting today. Paw Paw Drive and Cambridge residents will be able to get to their homes; everyone else needs to find alternate routes.
Pavement is set to be removed from Hope Avenue between Eighth Street and Paw Paw Drive today, with a gravel base will left so residents can access their driveways.
Mailboxes are being moved as well. Residents of that area need to tape a sign to their garbage cans, but can put the containers at the edge of the road on pick-up days as they normally do.
