HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — Holland BPW’s annual appliance recycling day is 8 to noon Saturday.
Conservation specialist Morgan Kelly says the utility will accept the following items: Refrigerators, freezers, window air conditioners, dehumidifiers, old holiday lights, anything 50% metal or more, and electronics.
Applicances must be in working condition, she said, but the other items do not.
Certain items won’t be accepted: CRT televisions, LCD flatpanels, plasma TVs, LED TVs and wood consoles as well as alkaline and lithium batteries, and ink jet and toner cartridges.
