OTTAWA COUNTY (WHTC-AM/FM) — The National Weather Service has put a red flag fire waning into effect for West Michigan, including Ottawa nd Allegan counties, indicating an extreme fire danger until 8 p.m..
Ottawa County Emergency Manager Nick Bonstell says wind gusts up to 35 miles an hour will create a high risk of wildfires.
“Be aware of activities that may generate wildfires, such as discarding smoking products and outdoor burning of brush,” he said.
