LANSING, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – Brad Knoll has a new state responsibility.
The Chief Justice of the Holland District Court was named on Thursday by Governor Rick Snyder to the Michigan Community Corrections Board, filling a vacancy on the 13-member panel through March 31, 2021 created by the resignation of Beth Gibson. Currently in his fourth six-year term on the 58th District Court bench, Knoll is also an adjunct professor of criminology and political science at Grand Rapids Community College and a faculty member of the Michigan Judicial Institute.
The gubernatorial appointment, subject to state Senate approval, is for the board that advises the Michigan Department of Corrections on improvements to many aspects of community corrections programs throughout the state.
