HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — The 2018 Tulip Time parade grand marshals were announced Monday
Long-time Holland Charter Township manager Don Komejan will lead off Tulip Time’s “People’s Parade” — the Metal Flow Volksparade set for Wednesday, May 9. Komejan served Holland Township as assistant superintendent and finance director before assuming the township manager mantle in 2009. Komejan was a Tulip Time Festival board member 2002-05.
A group of extraordinary students from the Ottawa Area Intermediate School District will be honored for working on three projects with Tulip Time and lead off the Yanfeng & Johnson Controls Kinderparade, set for Thursday, May 10.
Lorma Freestone, outgoing Executive Director of the Holland Area Arts Council, is grand marshal for the Quality Car Wash Muziekparade, set for Saturday, May 12. Freestone joined the arts council in 2003 as exhibits coordinator and was promoted to executive director in 2006.
