HOLLAND TWP. (WHTC-AM/FM) — Charges against the at-fault driver in a fatal crash Monday evening have been filed, according to Ottawa County Sheriff’s Capt. Mark Bennett.
Killed in the two-vehicle crash at Quincy Street and 104th Avenue: Chieu Tran, 43, of Holland.
Holland resident Minh Van Hua will be charged with operating without a license causing death, failure to stop and failure to render aid.
“Mr. Hua did attempt to walk away from the crash, as first reponders were arriving,” Bennett said. “Deputies were able to find Hua walking south from the scene. He was taken into custody without incident.”
Bennett said most of the charges carry penalties of up to 15 years in prison.
