HOLLAND (WHTC_AM-FM) –Two armed and masked home invaders surprised a Holland Township man at the Lakes of Holland apartments early this morning.
Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sgt. Matt Wildfong said police were called just after midnight when neighbors heard what they thought was a domestic violence incident.
They assaulted a man inside of the apartment and demanded money,” Wildfong said. “When they could not find money, the suspects took a small amount of the man’s medical marijuana and fled the residence.”
Police tracked the suspects using a K-9, Wildfong said, and the trail ended at a nearby apartment complex. The only description of the suspects is that they are both men; one is white and one is black, according to police.
Wildfong said anyone with information on the crime is needed to call Ottawa County Sheriff’s detectives or share details via Silent Observer online, by text or by calling (877) 88-SILENT. Rewards are offered for tips leading to arrests and convictions.
