ALLENDALE, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – The search for a new Grand Valley State University president can now begin in earnest.
The school’s Board of Trustees yesterday filled out a 18-member Presidential Search Advisory Committee with eight faculty and academic representatives, two staffers, and one person each from the unions, student body, alumni and general public. They will join four board members on the panel that will be headed by trustee John Kennedy, and their task will begin with a series of “listening sessions” next month to help determine what they should be looking for in the person who will replace Dr. Thomas Haas, who announced last month that he would retire at the end of the 2019 Academic Year.
