TALLMADGE TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – The identity of a 32-year-old woman who died last night in a two-vehicle crash between Standale and Allendale has now been disclosed.
According to Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sergeant Steve Austin, Tiffany Clay of the Grand Haven area was driving her car westbound on Lake Michigan Drive near 26th Avenue around 10:30 PM, with 29-year-old Allysa Armano of Grand Rapids as her passenger, while 25-year-old Tyler Clark of Benton Harbor was eastbound on M-45, when Clay’s car drifted across a grassy median into the eastbound lanes and a head-on crash ensued. Clay was pronounced dead at the scene, while Armano and Clark were taken to Spectrum-Butterworth Hospital in critical and serious condition, respectively. Investigators didn’t immediately determine what led Clay’s car to veer to its left and into the opposite lanes of traffic.
Austin added that all involved were buckled up as the crash remains under investigation.
