UNDATED (WHTC-AM/FM) – Neither Rick Snyder nor Gary Peters are running for office this fall, but both used separate Ottawa County locations as backdrops over an hour’s span this morning to promote items on their agendas.
Mr. Snyder was joined by Lieutenant Governor Brian Calley, who is running to succeed him as Governor, in touring the Gentex headquarters in Zeeland and speaking of the Governor’s “Marshall Plan” to what officials say addresses “the need to revolutionize how we prepare our talent for the workforce in Michigan.”
About 45 minutes earlier, US Senator Peters announced at Dream Winds Dairy Farm in Coopersville a new, bipartisan “Farm Service Agency Loan Flexibility Act” the suburban Detroit Democrat is sponsoring that officials say will “strengthen the program that provides direct loans and loan guarantees to small and expanding farms that may be unable to obtain assistance from private banks.”
The general public was not invited to either occasion.
