ALLEGAN, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – It was made official yesterday.
Myrene Koch was named by Allegan County Circuit Court Chief Justice Margaret Zuzich Bakker as the county’s new Prosecuting Attorney, replacing Rob Kengis, who was named last week by Governor Snyder to fill the vacancy on the Circuit Court bench by the retirement at the end of last year by Kevin Cronin. Koch has been an assistant prosecutor since mid-2002, and was promoted to Chief Assistant Prosecutor last June.
Her promotion takes effect a week from Monday, March 19th, which is the same day that Kengis dons the robes for the first time as a Circuit Court Judge. Koch is expected to complete Kengis’ four-year term as Prosecutor through 2020.
