HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – The Holland City Council meets this evening.
However, no formal business is scheduled during this bi-weekly work-study session that begins at 5:30 PM in Holland City Hall. Among the items on the agenda is discussion on what to do with vacant city land at the junction of 9th and 8th Streets in the Eastern Gateway, with a proposal to make the area a public meeting place that the Michigan West Coast Chamber of Commerce would be willing to help pay for to make it happen.
Acting City Manager Matt Messer will put forward the top 11 priorities for the Fiscal 2019 budget that was tabulated from individual lists each council member was asked to come up with during last month’s Advance planning session. Also tonight, council will discuss whether to go ahead with a series of five three-hour governance training sessions over a six-month period and when to schedule such sessions.
