HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – Local First held its first Lakeshore Annual Meeting and LocalMotion Awards at City Flats Hotel last night.
The economic promotion group joined with the Hope Sustainability Institute and the Lakeshore Ethnic Diversity Alliance in honoring local businesses that “are making a positive impact on their employees, community and the environment.” The winners of LocalMotion Awards were ECOBUNS in the environment category, the Community Foundation of the Holland/Zeeland Area in the employee category, and The Bridge, a Fair Trade store which is an outreach of Western Theological Seminary, in the community category.
In addition, Paul Lilly earned the Guy Bazzani Local Legacy Award for demonstrating “unceasing commitment to the Local First mission” through his Lakeshore Cleaning and Facilities Service, which he has operated for 15 years.
