HOLLAND TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – A 44-year-old Norton Shores man was hospitalized after a collision with a semi on US-31 before dawn.
According to Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sergeant Cal Keuning, Christopher Crozier was driving his vehicle southbound on US-31, with the rig of Wayne Bechan ahead of him pulling out as the traffic signal turned green at the James Street intersection on Holland’s North Side around 5:40 AM. “Mr. Bechan stated that his cab was under the traffic light when he felt something hit his semi,” Keuning explained. “Mr. Crozier noticed the tail lights of the semi moments before rear ending the semi.”
Crozier was taken to North Ottawa Community Hospital in stable condition for treatment, the 63-year-old Bechan of Ludington was not hurt.
The crash remains under investigation.
