ZEELAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – Planning ahead while rewarding the past is on the docket for the Zeeland City Council.
During tonight’s meeting, City Manager Tim Klunder will update the panel on the search process for a new Police Chief, as 37 applicants have tossed their hats into the ring to replace Bill Olney, who retired last year. Klunder will also go over a list of topics that Council brought up as part of establishing priorities in the Fiscal 2019 budget-making process. This comes ahead of next Monday’s second goal-setting session as Zeeland develops a Strategic Action Plan. In addition, Council will be asked to approve a one-percent organizational performance incentive payment based on what Klunder says is “the measured achievement of the 2017 Strategic Action Plan and the pay calculation methodology outlines in the city’s Organizational Performance Incentive Plan.”
The Zeeland City Council has a 6 PM work-study session this evening ahead of the 7 PM bi-weekly business meeting. A link to the agenda is here.
