HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – A new event to break the winter blues in downtown Holland while helping those who help others is on Saturday.
There will be 40 different businesses donating 15 percent of their all their sales to 15 different non-profit organizations, with customers choosing which charity to support. Deputy City Manager Matt VanDyken said that “it allows people in downtown to say, ‘Hey, we want to help these different non-profits out.’ It’s an exciting thing, a good thing for downtown and for the community.”
There will also be a blood drive from 10 AM to 3 PM as Michigan Blood will bring its mobile unit to the intersection of 8th Street and Central Avenue. More information on “The Big Give” is on the downtown website.
