HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – Two teens that prosecutors believe may have involved in as many as 70 larcenies in the Holland/Zeeland area are behind bars.
Holland District Court Judge Brad Knoll on Wednesday ordered 17-year-old Jett Sebastien Ellerbroek and 18-year-old Dylan Jacob Connelly held on five thousand dollars bond each after they were arraigned on two counts of third-degree home invasion, with more charges expected. Detectives from both the Holland and Zeeland police departments, along with the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department, are saying that the two may have been involved in dozens of thefts from vehicles and garages before they were caught on Monday. Zeeland police spotted three recently stolen bicycles outside of a home, which eventually led to the apprehension of the pair.
No preliminary hearing date for Ellerbroek and Connelly was immediately determined, and it hasn’t been disclosed if any others were involved in this crime spree that lasted several weeks.
