HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – A win-win situation is benefiting a local charity.
The popular holiday greeting cards, commissioned by the Holland Visitors Bureau and produced by local artist Carolyn Stich, earned $2,255.88 during the just completed season. Proceeds from the sale of this year’s creation, featuring Santa Claus painting an image of a snow-covered Big Red lighthouse on a moonlit night, go towards the Kids’ Food Basket charity, and Stich is already planning for her 18th annual card next winter. “These cards do have such a following that, through the year, I do have customers coming in to the studio and saying, ‘Oh, I have an idea for your Christmas Card for next year,’ and I love that!” the artist said.
A past winner of the Tulip Time official poster competition, Stich has created one of the 20 finalists for the 2018 Art in Bloom contest, the winner to be announced on February 8th.
