HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – The body of a missing 22-year-old Holland man was found on Saturday.
While Holland Public Safety officers await results from an autopsy, it was not initially believed that foul play was involved in the death of Samuel Rodriguez. The department issued a bulletin with an accompanying photo on Friday evening, saying that a missing persons report had been taken last Monday, and that Rodriguez was last seen last Sunday evening in the area of East 15th Street and Lincoln Avenue.
On Saturday morning, a person walking in an undisclosed area noticed on the ground the knit winter cap that the missing man had apparently been wearing. Officers and firefighters combed the vicinity and found Rodriguez’ body a short distance away, partially covered with snow in a wooded area near a foot path.
The case remains under investigation.
