ALLENDALE, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – Grand Valley State is reaching into the ranks of the US Coast Guard to find its new Vice President for Finance.
Gregory Sanial was named by the school yesterday to be its chief financial officer. He had been chief of staff for the Coast Guard’s Fifth District in Virginia, and has past experience as the district’s budget director, overseeing an 11 million-dollar annual budget.
The GVSU Board of Trustees will formally approve the appointment at its meeting next month, with Dr. Sanial assuming his new duties sometime in the spring. Associate VP for Human Resources Scott Richardson has also been the acting Vice President for Finance and Administration since a realignment of university officer assignments in August of 2016.
