HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – A Holland firm that specializes in “automated manufacturing and technology solutions” is expanding.
Officials of JR Automation announced on Friday the acquisition of Doerfer Corporation’s automated systems group. It’s the first major purchase for the firm since the private equity firm Crestview Partners acquired the 37-year-old company in 2015. In a statement, JR Chairman and CEO Mike DuBose said, “In addition to increasing our presence in North America, this acquisition will extend JR’s footprint into Europe and Asia, further diversifying the end-markets and geographies we serve.”
No details of the acquisition were disclosed.
