HOLLAND TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – The Community Enhancement Board figuratively donned Santa Claus suits yesterday in awarding three projects a total of 15-thousand-500 dollars.
Earning the quarterly grants in a competitive situation were: The Holland Symphony Creating Access Project, which brings together five community organizations to purchase 200 bilingual “Peter and the Wolf” books, underwrite tickets to a Family Concert, support pre-concert activities and provide needed transportation to that concert; the Historical Ottawa Beach Society for purchasing a window shade system for the pump house museum and more; and the Friends of Felt Estate for developing a brochure highlighting seven historic homes, as well as developing a website with a complementary app for providing information on numerous historical sites in the Holland/Zeeland area.
The next round of quarterly grants will be awarded in March; applications will be accepted through February 9th through the Macatawa Area Coordinating Council’s website.
