GRAND HAVEN, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – A World War 2 Navy veteran who has no living relatives was laid to rest in Grand Haven.
A funeral ceremony was held Thursday with friends and fellow service members for 90-year-old Gordon Hale. About 150 people showed up at the Lake Forest Cemetery in Grand Haven including members of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 28.
Hale has been living at the Sanctuary at the Shore nursing home and those who took care of him paid their respects as well as many who had never met him.
