SPRING LAKE, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – A 63-year-old bicyclist was treated for injuries sustained in a Friday afternoon crash.
The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office along with Spring Lake Fire Department were dispatched to the intersection of Priun and Leonard streets around 5:25 p.m. Sgt. Cal Kuening says 85-year-old Mary Westoff of Spring Lake was stopped at the intersection and as she started to accelerate and tuen onto Leonard Street, she struck Joseph Debrowski of Spring Lake on his bicycle.
Debrowski who was not wearing a helmet, was transported to North Ottawa Community Hospital in stable condition..
Westhoff was not injured in the crash which remains under investigation.
