GEORGETOWN TWP, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – A 57-year-old Jenison woman was pinned in her vehicle in a rollover crash early Wednesday morning in Georgetown Township.
Deputies from the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office and Georgetown Fire Department were dispatched to the scene at Cottonwood Drive and Chicago Drive around 12:45 a.m. Sgt. Cal Kuening says 30-year-old Elizabeth Brandt of Ravenna was on Cottonwood Drive crossing Chicago Drive on a flashing red light. Sheila Austin who was on Chicago Drive with a yellow flashing light was struck by Brandt’s vehicle in the intersection.
Austin’s vehicle rolled over and she had to be extricated from the vehicle by Georgetown Fire Department and transported to Metro Hospital for evaluation. Brandt was treated at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
