HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – The Holland Area Visitors Bureau has partnered with Midwest Living magazine for their dream vacation giveaways.
Executive Director of the Holland Area Visitors Bureau Sally Laukitis says the winner will receive $2000 to visit Holland and spend it and stay where ever they like, even when it’s snowing.
Laukitis says there are a number of new billboards up too for a new campaign called “Snow Free Holland.”
“We bough the url snowfree holland.org So we have these billboards up that say, ‘ Downtown Holland no snow..no kidding” SnowfreeHolland.org. They really pop out at you. They are royal blue with just white black letters and we’ve already received phone calls from those billboards.”
Laukitis says the billboards celebrate Holland’s snowmelt system which is the largest municipal snowmelt system in the United States. One that has had the Mayor of Montreal visiting Holland and checking out the snowmelt system at least three times.
