HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – Ottawa County Treasurer Bradley Slagh is running for the Michigan House of Representatives.
In a press release Monday morning, Slagh of Zeeland announced his candidacy for the 90th District a seat that will is now open as current state representative Daniela Garcia has announced her run for Senate.
The Republican has been serving local residents as the elected Ottawa County Treasurer for the past 10 years, and was previously the Zeeland Township Supervisor. Slagh entered local government after working in the banking industry for 18 years.
Since 2007, Slagh has also been serving the community beyond the doors of the County Treasurer’s office in various capacities including Secretary of the Board of Michigan CLASS Government Investment Pool, Board Chair of Ottawa County Land Bank Authority, Chair & Treasurer of the Ottawa County Republican Party, Ottawa County Economic Development Board, County Tax Allocation Board, the Ottawa County Michigan Insurance Authority & more. Brad was also elected to lead the Michigan Association of County Treasurers and served as president in 2016.
The 90th District covers the Holland City, Zeeland City, Hudsonville City and Jamestown, Zeeland and Holland Townships.
