NORTON SHORES, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – Police in Norton Shores are searching for a suspect in a Monday afternoon stabbing.
The incident took place near Ross Park Elementary School on Aue Road around 3:15 p.m. Authorities say a masked man entered a 23-year-old woman’s home and stabbed her. The suspect then fled the scene.
Area schools were on lockdown and residents were asked to stasy inside and lock their doors as the search continued into the evening. The suspect who is no longer believed to be in the area is described as a man with a medium build and was last seen wearing a black zip-up hoodie, jeans, and a mask. Police continue to use social media for updates.
The victim is in stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries.
