HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – A water quality forum is being held in Ottawa County.
The forum will cover Invasive Species, Climate Trends in the Great Lakes, Ground Water Study Update and more. Ottawa County Commissioner Al Dannenberg says a farmer in Robinson Township pulled up salt water from his well having destroyed his bean crop and that’s how the municipality started looking into water quality.
“They have learned quite a bit already, but there is still stuff that they are compiling. If somebody is concerned about their water, well or anything like that, this would be a good forum.”
The Water Quality Forum is November 30 from 8:30-4:00 p.m. at the Ottawa County Administrative Complex located at 12220 Fillmore Street in West Olive.
Registration is $12 online or $10 by mail and is limited to the first 150 participants. Register by November 24. Continental breakfast and lunch will be provided.
