HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – Habitat for Humanity’s first volunteer is coming to Holland.
Lakeshore Habitat for Humanity is hosting Clive Rainey, International Speaker and Habitat for Humanity’s first volunteer for three different events in the tulip city. Rainey has been a long-time advocate for affordable housing and has recently retired to Guatemala where he continues to volunteer to create housing solutions for those in need.
Clive introduced the idea of “Sweat Equity,” which is the term for the hours future Habitat homeowners are required to put into the building of their homes. He has also been instrumental in making Habitat for Humanity one of the most recognized brand names in the world.
