HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – Four firms that want to help the Holland City Council find the Tulip City’s next City Manager will be stepping into the virtual ring tonight to “give it their best shot.”
GovHR USA, Strategic Government Resources, Employer Group Workforce Solutions and AmyCell Talent will make personal or online presentations to council members in 30-minute segments during this evening’s biweekly work study session. Two weeks ago, Council narrowed down the list of hopeful to these four as they look to find a permanent replacement for City Manager Ryan Cotton, who stepped down this past June 30th after four years at the post.
Greg Robinson came out of retirement to take of the manager’s position on a seven-month-long interim basis. Council is scheduled to conduct a short discussion following the presentations, with a vote on which firm to retain coming during a regular business meeting later this month.
Also during tonight’s work-study session, which begins in Holland City Hall at 5:30 PM, Council will discuss a proposed ordinance amendment approved at first reading last month that would allow non-owner occupied short term rentals in various districts, with a final vote on the matter slated for next Wednesday evening.
